President

Hi! My name is Jill and I am a junior from Greenville, North Carolina majoring in biology and education with plans to pursue a career in education after I graduate. Prior to being president, I served Beta Chi chapter as an Alumnae Relations chair and then the Vice President - Operations. KD has given me wonderful friends and opportunities to learn and grow, so I am honored to give back and lead our chapter this year!

Sarah Mitchell

VP-Membership

Hey y'all!! My name is Sarah Mitchell, and I'm a junior from Raleigh, NC. I'm majoring in Exercise and Sports Science and with plans to go to occupational therapy school. I am beyond excited to be our VP of Membership this year! A little about me - I love UNC basketball (like its in my blood), traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family! KD has given me some of my greatest friendships, and I can't wait to get to know our next pledge class!

Ansley Hardison

VP-Operations

Hi! My name is Ansley and I am a sophomore from Charlotte, North Carolina. I am majoring in Business Administration and Public Policy and am hoping to either work in the consulting or non-profit sector (or both!) after graduation. Last year, I served as one of our recruitment assistants, which ingrained in me the power of KD and the strength of the bond that we all hold, so I am excited to be able to work for and lead our chapter in a much bigger role this year as VP-Operations. It’s going to be a great year!

Elizabeth Schmidt

VP-Community Service

Hi! My name is Elizabeth, and I am a sophomore from New Orleans, Louisiana. I am majoring in Exercise and Sports Science with minors in Chemistry and Entrepreneurship. After college, I hope to go to medical school and pursue a career as a Sports Medicine Physician. Last year, I was a SET leader and served as the food chair for KD. I’m so excited to be more involved in KD this year as a council member, and I can’t wait to see what we can do this year as a chapter!

Hailey Hawkins

VP-Secretary

Hi! My name is Hailey Hawkins and I am sophomore from Greensboro, North Carolina. I am majoring in Advertising/Public Relations and minoring in Entrepreneurship and Social and Economic Justice. I am hoping to pursue a career in public relations, possibly in the fashion industry. Last year, I served as the Sisterhood Chair and planned several fun events for our members to attend. I am looking forward to having another leadership role in KD this year and am excited to see what this year has in store!

Emma Peveto

VP-Finance

Hi! My name is Emma Peveto and I am a sophomore from Fort Worth, Texas. I am majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Spanish and Entrepreneurship. I am hoping to pursue a career in Finance, particularly for a private equity firm. Last year, I served as one of our Academic Excellence chairs and a SET leader for KD. Outside of KD, I am involved in Carolina Women in Business, UNC Finance Society, and a volunteer with TABLE. I am so excited to serve as VP - Finance for KD this year and can’t wait to learn more about our budget and allocations!

Carlyle Rickenmann

Hey! My name is Carlyle, and I am a sophomore from Columbia, SC. I am double majoring in Advertising/Public Relations and Political Science. I am hoping to pursue a career in sports branding/marketing or broadcasting. Last year, I served as T-shirt assistant and a SET leader! In addition to KD, I am a reporter for UNC’s sports show, Sports Xtra, and the marketing director for Spoon UNC. A few things I love include: South Carolina football, trying out local restaurants, going to concerts, and spending afternoons hanging out at the Carolina Inn! I am so excited to work as the liaison between Panhel and our chapter!

Hattie Tharrington

VP-Public Relations

Hi! My name is Hattie Tharrington. I am a sophomore from Raleigh, North Carolina. I am an Advertising and Public Relations major and I am minoring in Studio Art. I served as Assistant PR in 2018 and I am ready to dive deeper into KD. Outside of KD I am a committee head for UNC Fashionmash, the fashion club in campus, and have worked on Bumble’s campus advertising team. I love all things creative and work to think outside the box. I am so excited to portray our member’s passions and work to strengthen alumnae relations this upcoming year!

Mary Ashley Murrah

VP-Risk Management

Hey y’all! My name is Mary Ashley Murrah, and I’m a sophomore from Memphis, TN. I’m majoring in Economics with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I am so excited to serve KD through my role as VP Risk Management and continue my involvement in KD after serving as Alumni Relations this past year. Outside of KD, I am an advocate at Community Empowerment Fund, an organization that offers savings opportunities, financial education, and assertive support to individuals who are seeking employment, housing, and financial freedom, as well as a co-founder of Focus on Franklin, the first homelessness diversion fund in Chapel Hill. Additionally, I love being a part of the Greek Life Campus Ministry Leadership Team and leading the KD Freshman Bible Study! KD fosters unmatchable friendships and offers its members incredible opportunities, so I am really looking forward to working with this year’s council to oversee what this year has in store for our chapter!

Emily Draper

VP-Member Education

Hi! My name is Emily and I am a sophomore from Tampa, Florida majoring in Exercise and Sport Science. I am also pursuing minors in Sustainability Studies and Chemistry. After I graduate, I am hoping to go to medical school and work as a physician in either pediatrics or orthopedics! Last year, I served as the Assistant New Member Educator and as a SET leader for KD. I am super excited to continue working closely with all of the new members and can’t wait to see what this next year brings!
